Attorney Weber has been a practicing trial attorney in Massachusetts since 2008 and a community organizer since the late 1990s.  She grew up in Rye, NY, and went to Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, where she majored in the Comparative Study of Religion.

After college, Rachel spent four years living in Pittsburgh, PA, where she participated in many community organizing projects throughout the city.  When civil disobedience brought her into contact with social justice attorneys in Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, PA, and Philadelphia, PA, she caught the lawyering bug and decided to follow in their footsteps.  She went to law school at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.  She moved to western Massachusetts in 2008, and has remained there since.

Rachel has appeared on Democracy Now and local news stations, and has been featured in The Nation and the Hampshire Gazette.

Attorney Weber is a proud member of the National Lawyers Guild, the nation’s oldest and largest progressive bar association.

Recently, Rachel has volunteered with the Immigrant Protection Project, a project of the ACLU Massachusetts which provides a variety of free legal services to immigrants. She has also partnered with the Media Education Foundation, Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), and Palestine Legal for civil suits pertaining to academic freedom, and she organizes locally with JVP, Decarcerate Western Mass, and other organizations.
